![]() But I actually think it's better this way. There are things I miss from later builds, such as auto placing of tethers (not a biggie) and infinite digging. The process is incremental but predictable. It was a luxury when they brought in infiinite digging power, but it felt like a bit of a cheat at the time. Tethers provide oxygen but power is always scarce. Resin, compund, oxygen and power are primary and critical resources. Because frankly, this game just doesn't seem fun anymore.Įverything is pretty much intuitive - within minutes you have a pretty good idea what you have to do - collect resources and build tools and platforms in a simple and straightforward way. I think, either make it able to be played on an older version, or make an easy medium or hard mode that are the older, slightly newer, then newest versions. It just feels like the game has lost its way. It feels frustrating to relearn game mechanics to craft something that was much less of a hassle to get. It feels frustrating to go through all of these hurdles to do what was so much better a year ago. But here it just feels like it doesn't fit, and as a long time player, or at least someone who has played it when it was new, it feels frustrating. The game has an incredibly simplistic design, which I love, but then it has so much stuff to get one unlock that it feels overwhelming. But they made this game so complex it's just annoying, and I feel like it doesn't fit. Sure, there wasn't a lot of stuff after exploring the planets, but you could add more, and add more resources and things to build and animals and weapons and food and water and ♥♥♥♥ like that. I thought it was literally the best game ever. I got it when it first came out on pre alpha and thought it was perfect.
